Biography

Since childhood, I’ve always felt a deep, instinctive pull toward creation. It has been part of who I am. My journey began with music: I studied violin, piano, and singing, which gave me my first understanding of rhythm, harmony, and emotional expression. Later, I learned jewellery-making from an established artist, and at the age of twelve, I sold my first handmade pieces. That experience was eye-opening. It showed me that art has the power to connect, move, and even sustain you.

When I moved to Brussels for high school, painting naturally became my next form of expression, though at that time it remained a personal hobby. During my university years in London, my curiosity led me into fashion design, where I founded my first brand. Eventually, after relocating to Shanghai, I returned to painting initially just for myself. But during the pandemic, with time and stillness around me, painting evolved into something much deeper: it became my calling.

About five years ago, I decided to devote myself entirely to art. I realised that, subconsciously, my path had always been about following my heart and creating something new, something the world hadn’t seen before. Perhaps that’s why in China I’m often described as an “experimental artist.” For me, artistic creation is a process of exploration and self-discovery. It’s not about producing art for others. It’s about pushing my own boundaries, testing ideas, and seeing how far imagination can go.

I believe the human mind holds infinite creative potential, and that sense of limitless possibility is what drives me. To me, the essence of being an artist today lies in courage, having the bravery to follow your instincts, develop your own visual language, and stay true to it, regardless of how others respond.
