My Process
2020 was all about questions. Everything became uncertain, and no one could predict the future. This pandemic influenced everyone’s life and connected us so much that I wanted to share my thoughts and express my emotional experiences that I have had throughout 2020. I think it’s important to listen to our emotions, especially during these times. They are helpful tools to guide us through our lives.
Last year was the most chaotic year of my life. Well, I guess it was for everyone in the world in some way or another. So many things happened in just one year that I felt in a state of confusion, with no order. However, chaos has its own beauty. Its own system.
I have been thinking a lot lately; does chaos have its own structural system that creates some kind of balance and harmony at the end?
Theories behind the Universe have also been one of my other main interests. Something that I never will understand, yet it inspires me deeply. The idea that we are all connected in some way is so esoteric. It is like we are all part of a bigger canvas of life, together. That our chaotic lives are a part of the fabric of this cosmos is fascinating.
Additionally, opposites and the attraction they have towards each is another focus of mine. Yin-Yang refers to a concept where opposite forces are seen as interconnected and counterbalancing, creating a balance in the Universe. Just like with chaos, there is calmness.
I am passionate about the philosophy behind the golden ratio, and its magical mathematical explanations. The way it exists in nature and appears in everything. Theories behind the golden spiral, dimensions, space and fractals fundamentally inspire my artworks. I love playing around with the space that surrounds the canvas in order to create a painting that appears alive to the viewer. Almost as if the canvas could move and talk to the person.
